The robbers attacked an ATM of Punjab National Bank (PNB) and returned with the money, police said Sunday.
Police said the thieves damaged the first closed-circuit television in the lobby of ATMs in Kamla Nagar and then used gas cutters to make a hole in the machine.
"The loss is not yet known, but a normal ATM machine can store up to Rs.30-35 lakh in large denominations," said a bank official.
Police said neighbors reported to the bank when they saw the damaged ATM machine.
