Microsoft have made the long-awaited Office 2010 Beta is available for Microsoft Developer Network and TechNet Plus subscribers. The annual Professional Developers Conference Event this year begins Tuesday in Los Angeles and continues through November 19. After this event, Microsoft is expected that the public beta of Office 2010 suite.

Subscribers to MSDN and TechNet Plus can download the x64 (64 bit) or x86 (32 bit) versions of Office 2010 Beta from the Microsoft website. The team of public relations firm Tweet about some exciting news to share on the PDC. Now that the Beta downloads go live, it is obvious that Microsoft announced the public beta of the productivity suite.

This new Office Professional Plus 2010 Beta is the second beta, that creates the first beta build preliminary technical and designed to select only testers. This new Office Professional Plus 2010 Beta build 14.0.4536.1000 version includes new installation procedure, Cargo Center, as amended in the background behind the scenes and updates the icons for all Office programs.

Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010 beta build 64-bit version weighs 749.87MB, while 32-bit version weighs 684.48MB. Lucky MSDN and TechNet subscribers can get a beta copy respective official product keys before Microsoft announced Office 2010 beta, 18 November.

Virus Bulletin has released its August 2009 test results for SP2, Windows Vista Business. The company found 35 anti-malware products and test them. To pass the basic requirements of the test, the application must detect all malware known as "the wild, but not to produce any false positives. Products are tested in their default settings, and to succeed in both demand and access discoveries.

Virus Bulletin launched the program in a ring around 3,000 unique samples of malware spreading across four categories: polymorphic viruses, trojans, worms and viruses WildList / bots. Of the 35 samples passed, which means around one third of the products, only 23 were reduced to testing. Among the best known solutions are Symantec Endpoint Protection, which lost two infections in the WildList.

Symantec was quick to defend himself in response to the initial coverage of Ars Technician of the Virus Bulletin tests. A spokesman said: "In the last ten years, Symantec has won 44 consecutive VB100 awards, something no other vendor has come close to matching." Went to add that the malware is lost, is "extremely rare repeat a highly polymorphic file infecting virus, and have since fixed the issue in their signatures.

"Look and feel of Windows 7 interface making Mac computers, according to a Microsoft partner group manager, Simon Aldous. "One of the things people say a lot about Apple's Mac operating system is fantastic, is very graphical and easy to use," said Aldous said in an interview. "What we've tried to do with Windows 7 - the traditional format or in a contact form - is to create a Mac look in terms of graphics.

The most visible element is the interface of Windows 7 is a review taskbar, which allows users to "pin" applications in space, in effect restores the dock in Mac OS X. Google has released a brand-new programming language it hopes will solve some of the problems with existing languages such as Java and C++.

The language is called Go, and it was released under an open source license Tuesday. Google is no stranger to the open source world. The company has released the underlying code for several of its tools and services under open source licenses over the years. Just last week, Google released its Closure JavaScript tools for building Ajax web apps. And now Google has considerably upped its investment in free software with the release of Go, which is an entirely new programming language.

At first glance, Go looks a bit like C++, but borrows some elements, such as garbage collection, from scripting languages like Python and JavaScript. But Go’s real standout feature is its speed. A demo video shows the entire language — over 120K lines of code — compiling in under 10 seconds.

In every declaration, the name comes first, followed by the type. So, for example, types are declared after variable names, and all type modifiers precede the types. So *X is a pointer to an X; [3]X is an array of three X's. The types are therefore really easy to read just read out the names of the type modifiers: [] declares something called an array slice; "*" declares a pointer; [size] declares an array. So []*[3]*int is an array slice of pointers to arrays of three pointers to ints.

Functions in Go are amazing. They start off really simply, but by providing a few simple extensions, they let you do all sorts of things. To start off, here's a factorial function in Go.

Go extends that by adding support for named return values. You can declare the return value as a variable in the function header; then you can assign values to that variable. When the function returns, the last value assigned to the return variable is the return value. So you could also write factorial as:

Go's key features related to concurrency are :

• Channels.
• Channels of channels.
• Goroutines.
• Leaky buffers.
• Share by communicating approach.

Despite its fledgling status, Go already supports many of the standard tools you’d expect from a systems language and even includes support for other Google tools like Protocol Buffers.

Also, it’s worth noting that Google’s Go is not to be confused with an existing language entitled Go! (note explanation point). Google Blogoscoped reports that Go!’s developer Francis McCabe would like Google to change the name of Go, but thus far Google has not responded to that request.
