Intel Corporation and Advanced Micro Devices (NYSE: AMD) announced on 12 November a comprehensive agreement to end all legal disputes between companies, including antitrust litigation and patent cross licensing lawsuits.

In a joint statement from both companies, said: "While the relationship between the two companies has been difficult in the past, the present agreement expires legal disputes and allows companies to concentrate all our efforts in product innovation and development".

Under the terms of the agreement, Intel and AMD obtain patent rights for a new 5 year cross licensing agreement, Intel and AMD offer any allegation of violation of the license agreement before Intel and AMD will pay 1.25 trillion U.S. dollars.

Intel has also agreed to comply with a series of practical activities. As a result, AMD will drop all pending cases including the case in U.S. District Court in Delaware, and two pending cases in Japan. AMD also drag any regulatory complaints all over the world. The agreement was made public in filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
