Nitin Banks (Akshay Kumar) is a personal butler, chef, driver, watchman, gardener for a wealthy woman industrial (Archana Puran Singh) in Singapore. Like any young, Nitin also dreams of a better life, but the misfortune is his faithful companion, and his work is actually taking Archana. Desperately wants to be rich and marry the love of his life, Anjali Kakkar (Katrina Kaif), who supports him financially.

Ram Mishra (Suneil Shetty), the best friend Nitin also came to Singapore with dreams of becoming rich, but completed a delivery courier. He falls in love with Manpreet Oberoi (Sameera Reddy), but her high society parents would never approve the marriage, not less Ram you have lots and lots of money.

In the middle of all this, Harbans Chadda (Paresh Rawal), a shrewd businessman, looking for ways to increase their income and avoid his debtors. It was decided that the best way is to marry his son to a child whose parents can provide a large dowry. He is introduced to Manpreet parents at a Diwali function and was impressed by their social status. It presents as a well established businessman, is impressed and decides to get Manpreet Harbans and son "(Chunky Pandey), married.

De Dana Dan is a forthcoming Hindi language comedy, directed by Priyadarshan. It stars Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty and Katrina Kaif in lead roles. Supporting players include Paresh Rawal, Neha Dhupia and Sameera Reddy. Filming began in December 1, 2008 Mehboob studios in Mumbai.
