Nicole Richie gives birth to baby boy and his name is Sparrow.

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden have recently become the proud parents of a boy named James Sparrow Midnight Madden.

"In the early hours on 9 September 2009, was born James Sparrow Midnight Madden to Nicole Richie and Joel Madden. It weighs 7 pounds. 14 oz Nicole, Joel, Harlow and Sparrow are all familiar. Thanks for all their good wishes."

Sparrow concludes the older sister of Harlow Winter Kate, born in January 2008.
