New York City Veterans Day Parade. From 11 November 1919, the parade has brought New Yorkers and Americans together to honor those who served to defend our democracy. From the very beginning, has one year after the armistice that ended World War, the parade is grown not only in scope and size, but national significance.

New York City Veterans Day Parade has suffered and has been a constant through wartime and peacetime. It is a ritual of Veterans Day hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers, army members, their families and tourists. It is widely covered by media, locally and nationally.

The parade has always been a reflection of New York, the feeling of patriotism, community and respect for the flag. Participation in this high energy celebration is a great way for your band to thank all those who served our country to protect our freedoms.

There is said to be only 50 of the 400 Code Talkers still alive.And 13 of the 50 remaining Code Talkers are taking part in the NYC Veterans Day Parade, which is said to be the nation’s largest parade, for the very first time. Many of the Code Talkers are too frail and ill now to tell their story.
