E-Wolf e2- In Germany Build Electric Supercar

It seems that these days a new electric sports car concept, which was announced almost every month, but not often we get to see the true metal concept, so to speak, or in case of the new E-1, in carbon -fiber composite. E-1 electric Roadster is the latest development in the German company E-Wolf, and is only one of two new electric cars in company with his car to compete with the likes of Ferrari in action.

Working in partnership with the Center small Saxony and the Institute for Lightweight Structures and Polymer Technology, Technical University of Dresden, E Wolf presented his street-legal e-1 Roadster at the recent Frankfurt Motor Show 2009, and has plans to add e- 2 s.

The key to performance of cars is a light structure. In the case of E-1, the entire chassis weighs just 1102 pounds, but it has a cost, as the only vehicle that can accommodate drivers up to 150 pounds.

The power comes from a 150 hp AC induction motor 185 lb-ft of torque. This is sufficient to promote e-1 0-62 mph in under five seconds and see it reach a top speed of 143 km / h. A series of lithium-ion batteries will be the E-1 engine up to 200 miles on a charging.

While E-1 can be purchased today at a price of approximately $ 218,818. E-Wolf is also working on an e-2 supercar in 2011.

The e-2 has four engines, one at each wheel, providing a total output of 544 hp and 737 lb-ft of torque - all in a chassis that is expected to weigh around 2,000 pounds.

So far, e-2 only exist in one form of representation, but generate their designers promise the car will be able to reach a top speed of 155 km / h. Hopefully the production version will keep the lines of the concept.
