In this movie Angelina Jolie is Evelyn Salt, a CIA officer sworn to duty, honor and country. When accused by a defector of being a Russian sleeper spy, that salt will race clear his name and ultimately prove to be a patriot. Using all his knowledge and many years of experience as an undercover agent, must avoid capture and protect her husband or most powerful forces in the world, will erase all traces of their existence.

The film, directed by Phillip Noyce from script by Kurt Wimmer and Brian Helgeland, co-stars Liev Schreiber as Winter, her ally and supervisor in the CIA’s Russia office, and Chiwetel Ejiofor as Peabody, a counterintelligence officer who tries to take her down.
